About Us
Advanced Family Wellness, PS is privately owned by Natalie Kather, M.D. Dr. Kather is board certified in family medicine and anti aging medicine, with a focus on metabolic medicine. She is licensed as a medical doctor in both Washington and Oregon.
Dr. Kather moved to Olympia, Washington, from southern Oregon, where she worked at Ventana Wellness, PC, a clinic owned by nationally known women's hormone expert Nisha Jackson, Ph.D.
Dr. Kather has served as primary clinical investigator on multiple research studies, in addition to advancing her clinical skills and education. She is also a published author. She wrote a chapter in the textbook Anti-Aging Therapeutics Volume VIII. The chapter, titled "Dysmetabolic Syndrome: Where to Begin," addresses the many benefits of nutritional and hormonal balancing, and explains why these practices are essential in truly addressing the underlying cause of this unhealthy condition.
Dr. Kather has spoken to many groups of people about the benefits of metabolic health and the benefits of Univera LifeSciences products. She was also an educational speaker for PCCA's Bio-identical HRT Symposium in September 2005.
She is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Institute for Functional Medicine, and American Academy of Family Physicians, and she is a proud associate of Univera LifeSciences, an international biotech company in Lacey, Washington.
Dr. Kather delivers Metabolic Medical Care with enthsuiasm because she know what it's like to struggle with hormonal and nutritional imbalances. This photo of her from 2002 shows how much her health has improved from then to now.
Dr. Kather opened Advanced Family Wellness, PS in the summer of 2007. It is designed to provide an adjunct to the services that people of Washington and Oregon receive from their current physicians or clinics, such as the Olympia Medical Center or St. Peter Hospital.
There is no need to discontinue care with other doctors or medical clinics. Please ask your primary care provider for a referral for a consultation.
The clinic contracts with insurance companies. Please call ahead and ask if your carrier has contracted with the clinic.

We do not manage chronic pain disorders with narcotics, but we will work with a patient who suffers from chronic pain -- along with his/her primary health care team -- to address any underlying metabolic issues that may be contributing to his/her suffering.
